Eternal (Canada) (Regent Releasing) (2004) **1/2Year: 2004iMDB
Director: Wilhelm Liebenberg, Federico Sanchez Cast: Conrad Pla, Caroline Neron, Victoria Sanchez
The first thing I heard about Eternal was that it is a "lesbian vampires movie made in Canada". And I have to say... that pretty much sums it up.
To its credit however, the movie which unfolds as part vampire story, part police flick, has a very distinct style which makes it interesting to watch. Conrad Pla has some of Vin Diesel's raw charisma as he plays detective Raymond Pope who gets involved with more than he bargained for when he starts investigating his wife's disappearance. Caroline Neron is seducing as Elizabeth Kane, the current identity of the dreaded countess Bathory, and the scenes between the two are fresh and dynamic.
