Good Night, and Good Luck (USA) (Warner Independent Pictures) (2005) ***Year: 2005iMDB
Director: George Clooney Cast: David Stratham, Robert Downey Jr, Patricia Clarkson, George Clooney
Good Night, and Good Luck acts virtually as a pseudo-documentary about CBS journalist Edward Murrow (Stratham) who, in the 50's, stood up and questioned Senator's Joseph McCarthy communist witchhunt that was threatening to poison the entire USA.
George Clooney's timing in releasing this movie is obviously perfect given the current political situation in the USA and the media manipulation and control attempts. While the movie only shows one perspective, it manages to give the feeling of unbias due to Clooney's style which does not linger on any particular moment giving thus the feel that we're truly watching a snapshot of history as it happened.
