Inside Man (USA) (Universal) (2006) ***Year: 2006iMDB
Director: Spike Lee Cast: Clive Owen, Denzel Washington, Jodie Foster, Christopher Plummer
Clive Owen pulling off the perfect bank heist despite facing Denzel Washington as the good cop that tries to stop him, in a movie directed by Spike Lee, is definitely enough to get many moviegoers' attention. If you like cool bank robbers facing smart cops and pushy higher-ups, Inside Man is certainly at the top of the genre. However, its main problem perhaps is that it does such a great job of raising the expectations throughout it's entire setup which lasts 80% of the movie, that when we reach the end, although the movie delivers everything that it promised, to the T, one can't help but feel slightly underwhelmed.
Definitely enjoyable but make an effort not to get your expectations too high up.
